"I believe each house has a soul, an essence that one connects with. I have a passion for decorating and designing which began when I was a child. I would drive my parents …
“My sister said that if I hadn’t started a business by the time I was 50, I wouldn’t ever do it. Well, I started my home staging business when I was over 50, and it’s been going great for the last five years!”
“My business never would have gotten off to such a great start nor would it have been possible to sustain the business without the tremendous instruction, motivation, and guidance the Staging Diva Training Program afforded me, not to mention the great follow-up Debra provides on an ongoing basis. The program was very affordable and extremely worthwhile, and I often recommend it to home staging wannabes who contact me for advice on which training program to pursue.”
~ Patricia Ebrahimi, Show Smart Home Staging & Design (Maryland)
Patricia has enjoyed continued success since beginning her career in home staging. Even in the tough Washington D.C. real estate market, she has proven time and again that home staging works. She was also featured as an expert home stager in the Washington Post, providing her real estate staging tips to home sellers. Congratulations, Patricia!
It’s never too late to start a home staging business
Patricia Ebrahimi has already shown that it’s possible to build a successful home staging business later in life, but she’s not the only one who has done so.
At age 76, Jean Smith of Staging For Sellers in Florida completed the Staging Diva Home Staging Training Program. Within weeks, she already had two home staging projects!
She wrote, “It was so easy! In the past I would have felt guilty being paid for my advice! But with the Staging Diva courses I now know how to explain my fee and realize that I’m providing a valuable service to help homeowners.”
Jean has created a whole new home staging business in the retirement community of The Villages, Florida. One project required her to stage a manufactured home for a woman who had inherited it from her mother. Before it went on the market, Jean transformed the property into a show home with new furniture, paint and cleaning.
With so many homes on the market, home staging offers homeowners a tremendous opportunity to avoid the typical price reductions that occur in a buyer’s market. Naturally a home that shows well will sell more quickly and for a higher price than the properties that don’t, and Jean will be there to help them!
Debra Gould’s mission is to inspire and empower others with new possibilities for their lives. We at Staging Diva are so proud of Patricia, Jean, and many other stagers for creating new home staging businesses at a time in their lives when many wouldn’t attempt to build a new dream.
