"I believe each house has a soul, an essence that one connects with. I have a passion for decorating and designing which began when I was a child. I would drive my parents …
“I had the experience to do the work I love, but having a young child, I just couldn’t be tied to an employer’s timeframe. What I really needed was the confidence and know-how to create, systematize and run my own business. That’s exactly what the Staging Diva Program targets. I also could take the course at home, on my own time. The course was exactly what I needed.”
“Since I first entertained the idea of becoming a re-designer (and interior designer) my confidence was so low. I didn’t think I could possibly do it, yet I had been in the field for years. I worked for an influential designer in college, worked at Ethan Allen for years, and yet was terrified of going out on my own. I had no business savvy.”
“I took the Staging Diva course and finally figured it out. Business, business, business. I needed to know how to present a consultation, a quote, an invoice, keep track of receipts etc. Debra gave me a lot of confidence—even personally back and forth on her online discussion group.”
“I LOVE what I do. I dream about it. I am going after jobs because I HAVE to have them—I have got to put the right furniture in there or I won’t rest.”
“The greatest thing that has happened to me recently though, is that someone referred a new stager to me for advice. I am, somehow ‘the seasoned professional’ in 2 1/2 years’ time! Of course I instructed her to get involved with Debra!”

Home stager, interior redesigner, color consultant – you can do it all with Staging Diva’s help!
As a creative person, you will quickly discover that once you’re in a client’s home, there is no end to the kinds of help they want or the questions they’ll ask. This is true whether you’re doing a color consultation, interior redesign, or home staging.
Your clients will ask your opinions about what color to repaint the dining room, what type of bedding they should buy for the master bedroom, or whether they should tile the kitchen back splash.
If you’re not a trained interior designer or color consultant, you may wonder whether you have the skills to address these issues, but don’t say this out loud! Remind yourself that the reason you’re there in the first place is that your client recognizes your talent, even when you’re feeling insecure about it yourself.
If you’re a naturally creative person, it’s a joy to watch how your range of services can grow, often without you even trying! You might start out as a home stager, and quickly find you’re doing color consultations or interior redesign.
